In 2012 CRN will host its inaugural Craobhacha Oscailte Na Cruinne. This spectacular event will take place over the June bank holiday weekeend in the exquisite Wexford Opera House. Over recent years CRN has expanded across the worlds to include regions in Australia,China, North America and main land Europe. CRN will continue its Open Platform policy at the World Open Irish Dancing Championships. This means that any dancer regardless of their school or organisation may compete.

 Why are we Open Platform??

Since its formation CRN has encouraged an open Platform stage for all dancers and provides an organisation that gives a voice to young teachers, most importantly it provides a stage where every dancer can perform in a competitive but friendly environment.

The weekend will consist of single age championships, Ceili Championships ,Drama and Freestyle Championships. The World Open Irish Dancing Championships will also see the launch of a new competition "Rince Ceol". Although CRN is proudly know for its tradition, the contemporary style of teachers and dancers and their ability to think outside the box has been coming to the stage over the past number of years. This competition will give those choreographers the opportunity to express themselves.

Colm Keogh and Darren Checkley will be providing the music for this prestigious event.

The CRN Worlds committee are working endlessly to make sure that the inaugural CRN World Open Irish Dancing Championships sets the stage for the future of CRN. From organizing accommodation and fringe events, to designing the prestigious CRN World Globe and World medals.

Like all new events we need the support from the entire dancing world in order to make this event worthy of the history books.
